May 5 2012 - Sometimes we find the perfect home, for the perfect price, in a great neighborhood, and it happens within a few days, or after six months of searching. When the market reports of Salem Oregon real estate listings continue to indicate price reductions, we wonder if this market will ever hit a bottom. It may already have depending on whose opinion you are reading. I personally think that the general economy, and especially Salem, with 10.2% unemployment rates in Jan-Feb 2012, 2% higher that the national average (see Dept. of Labor stats) , will not support a real estate recovery. They go hand in hand. We all already know this, but sometimes keep wondering when, where, why, and how. Life goes on and may you find peace in the journey to a new home.
