It's a New Year for real estate buying and selling and the market seems poised to bounce back a bit after mixed returns for 2006. Salem Oregon received national attention for real estate growth in the first three quarters of 2006, and showed an 24.7% gain according to the National association of Realtors.

Salem is a real value market compared to Portland and other Northwest metro area. Beautiful homes can be bought for $350,000- $450,000 and there is a good deal of relocation going on to take advantage of these priice levels here as well as the strategic location of Salem in the Willamette Valley - 1 hr to the coast, the mountains, or Portland.
